WhatsApp has announced a complete ban on users' accounts that violate new IT laws introduced by the Indian government. According to WhatsApp, 20,79,000 were banned in December 2021. WhatsApp said in a statement on Tuesday that it had received about 528 complaints in December and had taken action on them.

A spokesperson for WhatsApp said that with the help of Artificial Intelligence, other cutting-edge technology and data scientists, users' security is at stake in WhatsApp. Meanwhile, in line with the new IT rules 2021, Meta on Monday removed more than 19.3 million bad content in 13 categories on Facebook and 2.4 million content posts in 12 categories on Instagram in December.
