Money Transfer Without Internet

No one could have imagined that with the new availability of mobile comes the process of making payments from a smartphone. But, now all the transactions are done easily on the smartphone itself. However, to use all these services, the smartphone must have internet. But, money can be transferred without internet It is possible to send money to others without internet on our smartphone.


UPI transactions offline

Customers can easily make transactions from their registered mobile number. Users need to dial * 99 # to use UPI transactions offline. This service can be accessed via the USSD 2.0 method.


This policy was introduced by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). In August 2016, NPCI integrated two digital payment methods (UPI & * 99 #). Users can now use the same number for UPI transactions.


And let's find out what steps to follow to send money even without internet.

Open the dial pad on your smartphone and type * 99 #.
Now come some options like 'My Profile', 'Send Money', 'Receive Money', 'Pending Requests', 'Check Balance', 'UPI PIN', 'Transactions'.


➢ To send money, press 1 on the dial pad and select the Send Money option.

➢ Now you have the option to send money from phone number, UPI ID, account number.
 
➢ You must select any option in this Payments Method.

➢ If you select a phone number you will need to enter their mobile number to whom you are sending money.

➢ If you selected UPI, then you will need to enter the UPI ID.

➢ If you select the bank account option, you have to enter the 11 digit IFSC code and the bank account number.

➢ After that you have to type in how much you want to send.

➢ Then enter your UPI PIN and click on send.
 
➢ Doing so will transfer money from your account to the other person's account.

➢ Details of other transactions along with the reference ID will appear after the money is transferred.

➢ Prompts you to save the recipient as a beneficiary for future transactions.

A small fee of Rs. 0.50 is payable for using this service.

 At present it is possible to send only a maximum of Rs 5,000 through this policy.
